Understanding the changes in your partner's body during her pregnancy - 4.

Month seven:

The mother's lungs, liver and digestive tracts are being squeezed upward more and more.  The need to pee often and in small amounts is often experienced.  This will only get worse as the baby gets bigger and moves around more often.

Bouts of constipation can cause a lot of discomfort during the last trimester.

Month eight:

Clumsy.

By the eighth month, the growing baby will change your partner's centre of gravity which can result in severe back pains and a clumsy looking way to walk.

You can expect some nightmares and an inability to sleep properly during this time.  This can result in a tetchy partner that will snap at you if us men act like completely lazy slobs.

A dark line can sometimes appear between the navel and pubic hair.  Also, some women find that the pubic hair actually grows right up to the navel.

Feet and hands may swell slightly, requiring a change in shoe size.
