Breastfeeding Positions - Sitting
The classic position for breast feeding is with the mother seated and the baby lying across her body.
The straddled position is sometimes found to be simpler for the baby. When the baby is too small, try placing a pillow under him/her.
The rugby ball position requires enough cushions to support the baby's head up to the nipple. The baby's bum rests in the arm of the chair with the feet pointing towards the ceiling.
