Baby's Development:

The buds that will be the adult teeth begin to appear behind the structures that will become the milk teeth.

He/she often becomes very active... he jumps and jiggles about, trying to find the limits of your stomach with both hands and feet.

Baby is sleeping a lot also... about 20 hours each day, but will wake up often just when you want to take a rest or as you try to go to bed!

Baby's Profile:        Size:       -  21 cm

                                  Weight:  -  270 g        (Average growth figures)

Her Emotions:

Now that sounds can be heard from the outside, invite the future dad to speak or sing so that recognition will come more easily after birth.

You may start to notice Braxton Hicks contractions any time from this week.

His Emotions:

Talk to your baby...  Not too loud as he/she will become afraid and reactive to your voice.  Speak in smooth tones whenever you get the chance.  When born, your baby will truly recognize you by voice even if not by sight.

Useful Information:

Prepare for your second scan.... decide if you want to know the sex of your child.  If not, then be sure to tell the doctor BEFORE you go in.
