Your
baby now nearly fills up the uterine cavity. When not playing about,
it is often sitting with the head upwards. He/She will take the
position for exit soon by easing around and resting the head on your
pelvic bowl bones.
The
brain develops quickly now, it trains the eyes to open and the lungs to
breathe.
You
have arrived at the childbirth period. You even begin to practice in
the bath. The childbirth is now your big preoccupation. If you are
concerned at all, speak to your experienced friends or the professionals,
they are always available.
His
Emotions:
The
answer is "No". You will not harm the baby if you have sex with
your partner during this late stage. Normally it is just fine to
continue right up to the day before birth.
30
weeks is when you start to lie on the settee watching TV with your
trousers undone and your belly hanging out like a complete slob.
Also
at 30 weeks you start to believe that you are almost there - the longest 8
weeks of your life. You tend to start asking what drugs are
available, Oh, and you start going to the toilet every five seconds!
After
I had my baby I went for a pee and it lasted forever and I thought that
there was something seriously wrong until my partner pointed out that for
the last 10 weeks I only managed about 60 ml at a time.
As
for the bath, it's brilliant you won't believe the shapes your tummy makes
as the baby swims around, water always seemed to set mine off. He
still loves water!
Contribution from Trudi:
10 weeks to go and god they
drag! Its the time you get out of bed in stages and you start holding
your belly for support, it feels huge and yes you do go to the toilet A
LOT! but only a little bit comes out. I find myself thinking 'God
I ran to the toilet thinking I was going to be on the loo for ages and
that's it? !'
But enjoy, not long until all
those sleepless nights and nappies !
