Baby's reflexes are all in coordination now.  He can blink the eyes, turn the head, clench the fists firmly and react directly to sound, light and darkness.

Your baby is ready to enter the world.  The adipose (fatty tissue) deposits under the skin will allow for the regulation of temperature.  The lungs are finally ready to spread out.

Now your baby can arrive at any moment...  The waiting is terrible and the intensity of your emotions means that everything else in the world is totally irrelevant.

Pack up a bag of snacks for yourself during the wait... the hospital food may not be up to much.  Have you remembered the extra film and batteries?

Be sure the baby seat is fitted into the car because some places won't let you home with the baby without one.

Don't forget to get together any paperwork that you need like identity papers, recent blood test results, blood type card and anything else that may be required in your particular country.
