By now, you may already have a scan that you look at on a daily basis, however, it is nice to know the baby's progress between the scans, so here we offer a clear and concise week-by-week journey through the whole development of your baby as well as a guide to both his and her emotional changes that may take place over the 38 weeks of a pregnancy.
The impregnated egg, after having divided by 2, 4, 8, 16... continues its cellular division, to finish up at the end of nine months to be made up of close to sixty thousand billion cells! Pretty amazing isn't it?
NOTE: This diary starts at week 1 AFTER conception. That means that a 38 week process is described, (in some countries, the standard is to use 40 weeks from the start of the last menstrual period).
