This is a wonderful reference book for any family!  It covers all aspects of pregnancy from conception to birth and beyond, with additional detailed and helpful information on nutrition and exercise during pregnancy.

What makes this particular resource stand out is the exceptional chapters on baby massage, body awareness and baby care after the birth, as well as a comprehensive reference dictionary at the back.

This is written with you and me in mind.  It is not intended to impress the medical world, it talks with wonderful directness to us all when dealing with emotional and physical issues.

The various sections that deal with the man's role in the pregnancy could perhaps be extended a little more, but having said that, the parts aimed specifically at men are very relevant and well thought out. 

Another area that stands out in this comprehensive tome are the vividly graphic pictures of actual child-birth in different positions.
