This is a must for every family and will be referred to from the birth of your child all the way up to ten years old and beyond. The easy to find information is just what you need when your child becomes ill.

It tells you clearly when to contact the doctor as well as when its perfectly alright to stay away.  This is the best route to ensure that you are not taking a trip to the doctor for every little sniffle or spot exhibited by your baby.

Everyone is concerned and asks constant questions, especially first time parents: which head scratchings are simply teething symptoms and which are true headaches? Is that just a spot or does he have a disease? What temperature means a fever and when is it safe? This book will help with all these questions and much much more.

Alphabetically arranged, this reference is the easiest to use that we have come across.  Look up diarrhea and you'll find various causes as well as indications as to when to make that call. Many minor illnesses are treatable by the parents and advice is offered in these areas too. 

The only minor complaint is that although the illustrations are very effective, a few more photographs would have perhaps enhanced the overall image.
